Wetlands & Waterways
Restoring our dynamic wetlands
Renowned for our experience in the wetland space, we specialise in the maintenance of natural and constructed wetlands.

Construction, Restoration & Management
Dragonfly Environmental is an industry leader in the construction, restoration and management of wetlands and waterways – natural or artificial, rural or urban, freshwater or salt.
From coastal wetlands and mangrove forests to salt marshes and seagrass meadows, these spaces are among our most powerful natural climate solutions. With so many of these critical marine environments endangered, Dragonfly are working to restore these biodiversity hotspots.
Our track record includes landmark restoration works such as the Penrhyn Estuary project (2011), which at the time was the world’s largest saltmarsh re-creation. Working for the Port Authority NSW in Sydney’s Port Botany, we transformed a 2.4-hectare area by planting 230,000 saltmarsh plants in just 14 days to support migratory wading birds.
From woody weed control in Sydney Airport wetlands to expanding migratory seabird habitat for the National Parks and Wildlife Service at Towra Point Nature Reserve, our team has the knowledge and skills to ensure these thriving aquatic spaces endure for years to come.
